About Me:
Time for an update…..
I finally have stepped into the 21st century and have a web site for my garden care business! Spring has arrived and I am so glad to be out there working in the rich soil & being near all the luscious new growing things! It is seeing joy in action! This year I am taking on 2 landscapes on a volunteer/pro-bono basis to share the beauty and an understanding of organic landscape gardening. A small public awareness campaign. Both will incorporate edible landscape elements and wildlife friendly features as well. I can hardly wait to get started!
My sculptural mannequin ladies are on hold at the moment as I try to find a studio or workroom/workshop in which to create them.
I am starting a letter writing campaign (see blog starting in May) to work at making the changes that are so important in the world today-Issues that I take very seriously include, but are not limited to:
- promotion of local, sustainable agriculture
- work on alleviating world poverty
- global warming
- universal health care in the U.S.
- EDUCATION!

We can all take part in choosing and creating our future.
Thank you!
I have three children, mostly adult. A cat, Sophia.
In 1999 my mother ended her own life and woke me up to mine. Since then I lost 4 “traditional” jobs in 2 years due to downsizing, outsourcing, (and once because of politics-mine.), lost a long time partner, lost my home, and found me. I started my own small business, doing what I have always loved- gardening & hope to find my own home this year.
I spent the greater part of the last two decades helping people (foster teens & high risk kids, homeless persons, former prisoners, anyone in need) find direction and themselves and finally discovered that I had forgotten myself. I am here now. I am full of hope and will. I am glad. I am appreciative. I live peace. After all, there is only love and fear. I choose love.
I like hats. I like women's cultural traditions, stockings for convenience, dancing, meditation, passion in all its forms, the strength of my body, the power of will, the lines of every interesting and beautiful face and form.
I am deeply concerned about the health and well-being of this globe and all that live on it. Global warming, global poverty and the risks that go with that, water unavailability, corporate food supplanting community food, and so much more….
I love link tv and what they are doing/teaching/sharing.
I am a voracious reader of almost anything. I enjoy creating beautiful, sustainable gardens; sculpting, painting, drawing in phases-currently lovely elder women; hope.
Years ago I studied comparative religion for about 12 years, but stayed essentially the pagan I was raised to be, although I did discover that I am rather an accidental buddhist.
I am politically active-a believer in commonwealth (by definition “wealth held in common”-think public parks, free air and water, healthcare of all kinds….) I believe that Bill Moyers is one of the best teachers I have encountered.
I believe in working for change one day at a time, one person at a time, one vote, one letter, sometimes one rant at a time.
Hope that helps a bit to get to know me. I hope to meet more people who are working to change the world for the better one moment at a time. :)
